The Syrian Forum Conducted a Briefing at United Nation

On June 5th in New York City, the Syrian Forum conducted a briefing for 17 member state representatives of the European Union at the United Nations. Several issues were discussed, including the humanitarian situation in Syria, and ways in which the international community can improve cross-border assistance delivery.

The advancement of ISIS was also discussed --particularly in regards to its gains in the city of Tadmor, Homs-- the Assad regime’s recent use of chemical weapons, A realistic assessment of the current political and military situations on the ground in Syria was presented. Finally, attendants were also briefed on the extensive institutions and programs of the Syrian Forum.
