This winter season, Syrian Forum has relaunched the Warm Touch Campaign. The campaign endeavors to provide clothing and heating to displaced Syrians, to enable them to stay warm and safe as winter weather approaches. This will be the third year Syrian Forum sponsors the campaign, having previously done so in 2015 and 2014.

In 2014, the Warm Touch Campaign distributed 16 tons of winter clothing and 50,000 liters of heating fuel to camps in northern Syria. By 2015 the campaign had expanded to provide nearly 108 tons of winter clothing to those displaced in Syria and Turkey, along with nearly 40,000 liters of heating fuel to those displaced in the Latakia countryside in Syria.

Now, in its third year, the Warm Touch Campaign aims to provide over 120 tons of winter clothing and over 100,000 liters of heating fuel to Syrians in need. The campaign will benefit refugees and internally displaced Syrians in northern Syria, Jordan, and Lebanon.

The project seeks to show solidarity from people outside Syria to those inside. Volunteers are brought together from Istanbul, Gaziantep, and Urfa to work on the Warm Touch Campaign, with the goal of affirming youth involvement in community and humanitarian work. The project also  aims to mobilize Arab and Syrian expatriates in solidarity with refugees in Turkey.

This year, the Warm Touch Campaign will operate in collaboration with the Ghiras Al-Khair Humanitarian Association, The Syrian Private Scouts, The Scouting and Guiding Federation of Turkey (TIF), The Kids Foundation of Turkey and Spain, the Unity of Gaziantep Volunteers, and Floka Alhouria.

Donations to the Warm Touch Campaign are currently ongoing through December 24th, and can be made through Global Giving.
