Bousla Implements Widespread Training Initiatives

October 2016 proved to be a productive month for Bousla for Training and Innovation, one of Syrian Forum's six institutions. 16 training courses took place throughout Syria and Turkey in the cities of Aleppo, Idlib, Urfa, and Gaziantep, with 200 training hours completed in total; 494 trainees benefitted from the courses.

Warm Touch Campaign Relaunched for Its Third Year

This winter season, Syrian Forum has relaunched the Warm Touch Campaign. The campaign endeavors to provide clothing and heating to displaced Syrians, to enable them to stay warm and safe as winter weather approaches. This will be the third year Syrian Forum sponsors the campaign, having previously done so in 2015 and 2014.

Nour, A Story of Will and Determination

Having been paralyzed from the waist down from birth, Nour Abu Abed was about to lose any ray of hope in his life. He felt as though darkness had overcome him at all times, and had begun to lose his will to live because he did not want to continue living in the condition he was in. Nour had required extensive surgical operations in his lower spine, and now has to use a wheelchair at all times. Although he was only 8 years old, Nour did not want to face what he saw as a very long and difficult life of disability to come.

IHSAN Cash-For-Work Program Thrives

IHSAN for Relief and Development's recent Cash-for-Work program inside Syria has proven to be a success for participants. The program has projects in 10 areas, with 32 projects executed thus far in Abdita, Ablin, Al Barah, Ar Rami, Balshun, Balyun, Basamis, IhsimJoseph, and Marayann. The projects each run for 120 days, or about 4 months.
